The BEST Network
BEST, Board of European Students of Technology is a constantly growing non-profit and non-political organisation. Since 1989 we provide communication, co-operation and exchange possibilities for students all over Europe.
76 Local BEST Groups (LBGs) in almost 30 countries are creating a growing, well organised, powerful, young and innovative student network.
The goals of BEST
BEST strives to help European students of technology to become more internationally minded, by reaching a better understanding of European cultures and developing capacities to work on an international basis. Therefore we create opportunities for the students to meet and learn from one another through our academic and non-academic courses and educational symposia. "Learning makes the master", but the final goal is a good working place, therefore we offer services like an international career centre to broaden the horizons for the choice on the job market.
Our priority is to offer high quality services for students all over Europe. Thus, we manage to bring all the partners in the "student - company - university" triangle closer.
BEST Eindhoven
In 1989, Local BEST Group Eindhoven was one of the founders of the BEST network. The group is connected to the Eindhoven University of Technology. We are the only BEST group in the Netherlands.
Because of our membership in BEST, we can offer all students in Eindhoven the opportunity to explore Europe by using the services of BEST.
BEST Eindhoven has been playing a leading role inside the network by always trying to explore new avenues and take on to new initiatives. For example, we were the first to organise a BEST European Engineering Competition and an IT-trainshop.
Furthermore, we always strive for attractive and innovative course subjects; our last Summer Course attracted over 250 applicants and our earlier Spring Course had over 150, a season record. We expect the upcoming Summer Course of 2007 to follow this trend.
